Recommended Materials

Plans are sized for the following minimum blanks:

• Ladle: 3" W × 3" T × 12" L
• Serving Spoon: 2¾" W × 1¾" T × 13¼" L
• Skimmer Spoon: 3½" W × 1¾" T × 12" L
• Stirring Spoon: 2" W × 1" T × 12" L
• Fish Spatula: 2½" W × 1¾" T × 11" L

Maple, cherry, walnut, beech, and other closed-grain hardwoods are recommended.

Tools You'll Need

• Bandsaw
• Rotary carving tools or spoon-carving gouges
• Sanders, rasps, files, or carving knives
• Spray adhesive or double-sided tape
• Drill & 3/16" bit (skimmer spoon)
• Router & ¼" straight bit (optional fish spatula slots)
• Food-safe finish
